Criminal Investigations
The mission of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is to pursue justice by providing premiere investigative services, building trusting relationships with its law enforcement partners, and meeting criminal investigative needs with excellence.
The Thomas County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is composed of (8) Criminal Investigators who review and investigate felony complaints occurring in Thomas County. The division is headed by Commander Chief Investigator Pascal Autrey, who is aided by Asst. Commander Lt. Kevin Dennis.
The investigators are charged with the duty of conducting impartial, fair and just inquiries of allegations of cases assigned them. The unit is comprised of specially trained law enforcement officers using resources provided to them by Thomas County and the State of Georgia. Each investigator has the responsibility of completing his/her investigation, and if need be; securing an arrest warrant. The investigator continues in the process by presenting the cases before the Thomas County Grand Jury and then before a Thomas County Criminal Court for a final verdict. The Criminal Investigations Division serves all complainants/victims in a fair and compassionate manner with justice for each citizen in mind.
