Inmate Property

All items that an inmate is booked into the Thomas County Jail with will remain in our secure property room until that inmate is released. 

This is NON-NEGOTIABLE! 

If an inmate is sent to prison or a program, they will be given the opportunity to fill out a property release form. This allows them to choose one person to pick up their property. 

In order to pick up any type of property you must present one of the following:
- Current valid state-issued Driver's License
- Current valid state-issued ID Card

If your property was turned in as evidence, items cannot be released by the jail. You would need to speak with the arresting officer/investigator handling the case.

Property not retrieved within 30 days of an inmates release may be disposed of by the department per state law.
