Complaint Form


At the Thomas County Sheriff's Office, we are committed to maintaining the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability. If you have a concern or complaint regarding a deputy, staff member, or any aspect of our operations, we encourage you to submit a formal complaint.

How to File a Complaint - Complaints may be submitted online through our secure form. Please provide as much detail as possible, including the date, time, and location of the incident, along with the names or descriptions of individuals involved.

What Happens Next? Once your complaint is received, it will be reviewed by the appropriate department. If further information is required, an investigator may contact you. In most cases, the investigation of a complaint will be completed within 45 days. Complaints are handled with confidentiality, and appropriate action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation. Depending on the nature of the complaint, the investigation may be conducted by Professional Standards or forwarded to the appropriate Division Commander for investigation.  If a complaint is sustained, appropriate discipline and/or correction action will occur.

Anonymous complaints are not accepted.
Providing false information may result in legal consequences.
