Watchful Eye 2026

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office/Investigations Division recently participated in a State of Georgia Law Enforcement operation named, "Watchful Eye".  This operation is designed to track and verify registered sex offenders within the State of Georgia.  During the time period of October 26, 2026 and October 31, 2026, Thomas County Sheriff's Deputies and Investigators conducted a total of 175 offender checks of known offenders within Thomas County.  The operation is designed to ensure that all offenders reside at a location that meet the parameters of their individual conditions.  Sheriff Tim Watkins would also like to thank the Georgia Department of Community Supervision for their cooperation in this large undertaking.  The operation resulted in one arrest and two warrants to be secured.  Overall, the operation proved to be a success as the Thomas County Sheriff's Office strives for offenders to comply with their designated conditions.
